RETN has joined BCIX (Berlin Commercial Internet Exchange, I/P/B Carrier Colo, Lutzowstrasse 105/106, D-10785 Berlin). BCIX has become the 8th Internet traffic exchange hub for RETN in Europe.

New node in New York

A RETN node has been launched in New York (Telehouse 25 Broadway 6th Floor Site 8, New York, NY 10004, USA), becoming the 4th RETN hub in the US and the 2nd one in New York. The link between the new hub and the London-based RETN node has a throughput capacity of 10G.

Access node launched in Berlin (Berlin, CarrierColo, c/o IPB GmbH, Lutzowstrasse, 105/106, D-10785).  Berlin-based RETN is linked to the RETN hubs in Stockholm and Frankfurt via lines with 10G throughput capacity.

DWDM Moscow – Vladimir – Nizhniy Novgorod

Route_3A new DWDM section is going into trial operation in the RETN trunk line linking Moscow, Vladimir and Nizhniy Novgorod. The throughput of the DWDM lines is 2х10G. RETN uses Infinera DTN line management equipment (SUNNYVALE, California, USA), which can promptly scale the band up to 10х10G, and may reach a transmission speed of up to 4х10х10G (400 Gbps) through a system upgrade.

Working with VIX

RETN transit hub in Vienna (Interxion, Louis-Hafliger-Gasse 10, Objekt 50, 1210 Vienna) upgraded to access hub. RETN joined VIX (Vienna Internet eXchange), the 10th Internet Exchange for RETN and 7th in Western Europe.
